ABOUT ME
I am a resource governance researcher, civic-tech social entrepreneur, and global compliance systems innovator whose work explores how governance, technology, and institutional capability can strengthen the management of natural resources and support sustainable economic development.
My research sits at the intersection of resource governance, digital governance, compliance systems, traceability, institutional design, and public policy. I am particularly interested in how countries can build governance systems that not only satisfy evolving global compliance expectations but also strengthen domestic institutions, protect national interests, and create greater value from their natural resources.
My research maps how producing nations navigate global compliance mandates across critical raw materials, agriculture, and manufacturing – transforming data tracking into a strategic national asset.
My current research agenda is organised around four complementary programmes:
• The Compliance Chasm – examining the structural gap between expanding compliance obligations and the governance and economic value captured by resource-producing countries and communities.
• Sovereign Data Logics – exploring how trusted national data governance can strengthen institutional decision-making, accountability, and resource sovereignty.
• Resource Governance Operating Systems (RGOS) – investigating governance architectures that integrate institutions, digital infrastructure, and implementation capability across resource ecosystems.
• Resource Governance Transformation – studying how governance innovation can support long-term institutional resilience, sustainable development, and public value creation.
Alongside my research, I founded TerraVerify, a civic-tech initiative focused on strengthening resource governance through digital innovation, traceability, data governance, and institutional collaboration. TerraVerify serves as a practical environment for translating research ideas into governance solutions, policy dialogue, and implementation-oriented innovation.
My work is guided by a simple belief: effective governance is built not only through legislation or technology, but through institutions capable of coordinating information, people, and processes to deliver lasting public value.
This website brings together my evolving body of work, including research publications, working papers, policy briefs, white papers, and reflections on emerging governance challenges. It serves as a platform for sharing ideas, encouraging scholarly dialogue, and contributing to evidence-informed policymaking.
I believe many of the world’s most pressing governance challenges require interdisciplinary thinking that connects research with practice. For this reason, I actively seek opportunities to collaborate with researchers, public institutions, development organisations, industry partners, and practitioners working to strengthen resource governance, compliance systems, and sustainable development.
The work presented here reflects an ongoing research journey. As my research continues to evolve, I hope it contributes to stronger institutions, more effective governance systems, and practical solutions that create lasting public value.
